Much time was spent in the post-production suite assembling an edit for Stuck In A Hard Place.

Bachelor of Screen Arts

Working on various projects, I learned invaluable skills across the many facets of film production. As a sound mixer I worked on ‘Nokia Low’ and ‘Away With The Faeries’, capturing high quality sound to enhance the narrative. On ‘Stuck In A Hard Place’, I took on the role of editor - refining my post-production efficiency and delivering the final edit. Throughout my contributions I encountered vital lessons that benefit the future.

Nokia Low is a short film drama that details a toxic, codependent relationship. Michael supports him and his girlfriend, Jasmine. Jasmine is an addict, and depends on Michael to fund her expensive addiction. Michael loves her, and knows if she keeps using, she will die. But he cannot bring himself to deny her the money. Because he is obsessed with the fear that she will leave him if he does.

Stuck in a Hard Place is a live-action, coming-of-age drama following the tumultuous relationship between father and son. Two men find themselves alone together on a hike in the idyllic New Zealand bush, and the cracks in their relationship start to show. When their trip takes an unexpected turn for the worst, the son realises he must resolve their conflict or risk losing his father forever.
