Shooting a final scene for Next of Kin
Bachelor of Screen Arts
I worked as a Co-producer and Director of photography on the short film Next of Kin. Assuming the role of Director of photography allowed me to utilise gear and techniques that have been circling within my creative process for years. It also allowed me to learn a great deal about new gear and to truly absorb the roles responsibilities. Effective Communication around creative ideas and on set practices were one of the most vital parts of my journey on Next of Kin and I learnt a large amount from conferring with my fellow team members as well as our Director. Using higher end cinema gear also allowed me to truly express emotion through the screen and aided me in extending my skill set, furthering my cinematography ambitions.
