I was the lead on the short film project, When You See Me. I wrote, directed, edited, colourgraded and animated stopmotion visual effects. Creating this project from start to finish helped me push myself to learn and develop new filmmaking skills. Being apart of this project has inspired me to keep telling my story in unique ways as I pursue writing and directing in the future.
When You See Me is a whimsical sapphic romance short film that follows the love story between a poet and a painter. Leilani realises her feelings for Maeve, her best friend, goes beyond their close friendship. But with Maeve set to move halfway across the country. She must decide whether to speak those feelings or silence her heart.
Wizard Mischief is an absurdist, neo-gothic short film about wizards, imps and fairies. It follows Lucy, a cruel and impulsive wizard, as she is followed by mischievous imps and culminates with a confrontation with the Fairy Queen over the grave of her mother.
