I wrote, directed, and edited the Western short film, Twenty Years Buried. I have made many short films, but this one has been by far the most difficult and ambitious. Being the key creative on this project, I was responsible for ensuring that all the pieces came together. When it all falls apart, and everyone looks to you, learning to put those pieces back together and push forward has been an invaluable learning experience that will serve me for all the other difficult and ambitious films I plan to make.

Twenty Years Buried is a live-action Western short film set in the midst of New Zealand's first gold rush. A grizzled mercenary transports a bounty of two criminal siblings to their execution. Their journey is violently derailed by the ghosts of his past, despite his best efforts to bury it. With gunslingers and threats closing in, he must confront his past to finish the job … or die trying.
