On this project, I was responsible for working under the gaffer as the lighting assistant on set, as well as working closely with the editor and director as the assistant editor throughout post-production. I’ve had some experience with lighting, but I’ve had years of experience with editing. Being able to apply my creative and technical skills throughout this project was a great learning opportunity for me, and I was grateful to work alongside a talented and amazing team.

Stuck in a Hard Place is a live-action, coming-of-age drama following the tumultuous relationship between father and son. Two men find themselves alone together on a hike in the idyllic New Zealand bush, and the cracks in their relationship start to show. When their trip takes an unexpected turn for the worst, the son realizes he must resolve their conflict or risk losing his father forever.
