A Seat at the Table celebrates the experiences of young Filipino tauiwi (migrants) in Wellington through conversations centred on food. Welcoming them as they are, it is packed with history, nostalgia, recipes, personal anecdotes, and hopes for the future. Food is more than what we see on the plate; it reflects generations of flavours, rituals, and community.
