Lotus' is a multimedia textile collection celebrating Lotus flower towns in China. In my hometown of Jiang Suthe, the Lotus Flower symbolises beauty and purity.
Viewing the beautiful flower has become a popular pastime; not only does the Lotus hold cultural meaning, but it is also a valuable food source and possesses therapeutic qualities.
In this body of work, I pay homage to the Lotus through crochet, hand embroidery and digital print.
