Interweaving Cultures is a woven collection that conceptualises my experience of being multicultural, a passageway of unpacking the struggles while celebrating the endeavours of reconnecting to my ethnic roots. This collection embarks on the journey of studying natural dye processes on silk that are culturally significant as well as the study of traditional woven textiles of Southeast Asia and Europe. Woven on a floor loom with hand and digital embroidery.
