I design and create all the clothes I wear including these shoes from my own fabric designs
This design was dyed using onions and black beans on NZ wool, knitted, digitally arranged then printed onto fabric and visualised as a shoe.
Bachelor of Design
My designs combine the traditional arts of hand-dyeing wool and colourwork knitting with contemporary digital design techniques and sublimation printing. All the colours in the designs are produced from non-toxic, food-safe colours dyed onto New Zealand wool and knitted into colourwork designs. These were then digitally reworked, with the resulting designs created using sublimation printing.
