Taxtiles' is a multimedia textiles project exploring the inequitable tax system in Aotearoa, which is causing the wealth gap to continue to grow. Utilising the textile processes of dyeing, rug tufting, digital print and embroidery, I aim to communicate the way income is taxed differently, depending on how it is derived. I want to change the discourse around taxation, making it accessible and digestible for younger generations.
