This spatial design research project proposes a dynamic interior system for transitional residents within Whakamaru, a new development by Wellington City Mission. Predicting residents' diverse spatial needs and preferences is a formidable challenge, particularly when faced with constant change and finite resources. The system enables an ongoing placemaking process by embracing modularity, adaptability, agency and customisation. It empowers the dynamic community of Whakamaru residents to make the space their own.
