Moon festival is a five-day event, celebrating and sharing Chinese cultural understandings and appreciation for the moon. The festival engages the wider community with creative workshops during the day, with illuminated activations and events in the evenings. Located across the Te Ngākau Municipal District, it activates the area to the general public, hoping to create a sense of community, understanding, connection and joy by expressively celebrating the moon through a Chinese cultural lens.
