Cognisance explores the viewer’s perception through the abstract portrayal of the human body. Evoking the satisfaction we feel when recognising a person in the image and the confusion we feel when we don’t. The images invite the viewer to spend the time to become aware of a human body hidden within. Distorting the body using reflective objects, insinuates a mirror, the most common way we perceive ourselves from another point of view.
