Alshabaab Almuslimun is a photobook which represents the dual identities that Muslim youth juggle while living in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Aotearoa. Through the pairing of our words and these images, our voices are amplified. This showcases the resilience of our self-made identities, challenging common misconceptions and stereotypes projected onto us by those outside our community. This photobook creates a powerful narrative that reflects the world in which our youth reside within.
