Covers stretch over the inflatable, binding to the frame. The tethering of the covers inform the shape of the body, allowing for fluidity in function.
The metal frame represents cis, straight and male gazes, and the forces these views have on queer bodies.
The inflatable inner represents queer bodies, constantly pushing at the constraints of the frame.
Each cover represents a different aspect of queerness, talking to the narratives shared with me throughout the project.
