I've designed a task and mood lamp from materials we can’t recycle here in New Zealand. They are HDPE found in milk bottle lids and PET/PE chips found from off-cuts of a plastic factory.
Overall, the lamp explores both the structural and affective qualities of HDPE and PET/PE to create a statement that takes the valuelessness of the waste, turning it into a design that is valued and desirable.
