Vianca Batten

Vianca Batten is an artist who works with paint and black velvet to confront and engage with the negative influence of film, media, advertisements, and colonialism towards the perception of Filipina women and their bodies. Through this process, she reclaims and finds a correlation to the degradation of one's perspective of one's body and identity.
