Ruby Callender is an artist based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Ruby is fascinated by human nature, the sympathetic relationships between strangers, and inherited knowledge. Ruby employs drawing as an exploratory medium, channeling and interweaving internal and external worlds. Her practice weaves the tangible with the subconscious, exploring themes of observation, perception and introspection.
