Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours
My practice explores how I navigate the complex duality of my Filipino and New Zealand identities and how I place myself in the world. Drawing from Homi Bhabha's concepts of the in-between and third spaces and Derrida’s deconstruction, I attempt to establish a space that exists between the two cultures. An intangible space made tangible by walking through Ang Lupang Hinirang Ko/The Land I Chose.
