Social media and marketing have played a substantial role in the idea of self-worship. This has shifted product promotion to become identity based, keeping people hyper-fixated on the presentation of self. My collection adopts a cubist approach, embodying ideas of fragmentation, distortion and perception to show a deeper truth about society’s obsession with newness and therefore consumption.
