I was the Director, Producer, and Editor of the documentary Roots and the Cinematographer of Slipping Through the Cracks. Creating Roots forced me to dive headfirst into the deep end of documentary filmmaking as I learned to juggle the technical and creative aspects of creating this film, from conception to delivery. I am deeply motivated to develop my skills in documentary filmmaking as I aspire to become a documentary Director/Editor.

Roots follows photographer Sean Aickin as he captures a single analogue photo of a tree. Through this image he embarks on an introspective journey delving into the roots of his past, the intricacy of his present, and the unknowns of the future. Explore the heartfelt connection between family and art in this pivotal moment before embracing fatherhood.

Slipping Through the Cracks features 20-year-old Shaun who shares the struggles he faced growing up in a single-parent household and an unstable environment. Travels back to one of his rural childhood homes and reflects on these challenging times and how they have shaped him into the person he is today.
